Born in Columbia, South Carolina, this Southern Belle did not come to be a magician by accident: it was in her genes. Grandfather "Buster" showed then little Melanie Kerr, coin and candy tricks: he was a professional magician. The pretty girl had a natural talent for showbiz. At the tender age of four she won her first beauty pageant. She began dance- tap- jazz- and ballet training and created her own magic act. Her success was obvious when she won the talent contest in the Miss South Carolina pageant.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she decided to see the world. She lived in Monte Carlo and London and then settled for a while in New York City. Being a model was great but magic stayed her first love. She read about famous ladies in magic of the past like Adelaide Herrmann, Dell O'Dell, and Lady Frances and vowed to be one of the best ever for the new millennium.
Her dream started to become reality when she moved to the Magic Capitol of the World, Las Vegas, and starred in a production show on the famous strip. Not satisfied with deja vu illusions, she performs original creations simply because she is one-of-a-kind herself
She smiles while she fools and, jokingly, shows her male assistants the treatment female wonder workers have "endured" for years with magicians of the past and present. She pokes fun at herself while poking oversized needles into a macho volunteer from the audience. People love her and, as she shows the magic of herself and her illusions, they want to be in her presence.
Her unique beauty, together with her witty sense of humor, endear her with every person who witnesses her approach to this ancient craft. She never leaves you. You walk away with that sense of wonder she instills in you.
